Through 40 years Ekokem (Old Kommune Kemi) built up a unique knowledge of how packaging, labeling, declaration, transport and final disposal of hazardous waste is done with respect for safety and environment.

Ekokem minimizes industrial companies' risks and turning waste into district heating and electricity and recycle oils, iron and metals. We process about 200,000 tonnes of hazardous waste every year.

Ekokem's laboratory is the only one in Denmark accredited to analyze waste. Ekokem's process is classified as Best Available Technique (BAT) for the treatment of substances that can affect the environment and recommended by the EU.
